WMR Contractors is pleased to announce the appointment of Alisdair McTavish as Senior Contracts Manager, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to deliver high‑quality refurbishments and heritage restoration projects across Scotland.
Alisdair joins WMR during its tenth anniversary year, bringing extensive experience in project management, risk allocation and quality assurance. A Building Surveying graduate, he returns to the construction sector after more than two decades at South Lanarkshire College, where he played a significant role in shaping trade education and curriculum development. During his tenure, an estimated 20–30% of his students have gone on to become business owners within the Scottish construction industry.
Speaking on his new role, Alisdair said:
“Joining WMR at such a milestone moment feels like the ideal next step. The company’s reputation for long‑standing client relationships and repeat business aligns perfectly with my own values around quality and professionalism. I’m looking forward to working with WMR’s talented team to continue delivering the high‑standard, client‑focused solutions the business is known for.”
Andrew McGowan, Managing Director of WMR Contractors, added: "Alisdair’s reputation for excellence and his deep ties to the construction community make him a perfect fit.
